The uniqueness lies in the fact that Dr. Jones' goal is to get to the root cause of each pet's problem. This starts by getting a very detailed and thorough history, doing a full exam and utilizing applied kinesiology. The goat is to restore the health of each pet and their innate healing abilities to provide for the maximum longevity of each pet examined.
Holistic care looks at the whole pet and all the problems that they are facing and addresses them as a whole unit. It then takes an out of the box approach to resolving such issues. Itegrative care utilizes the Holistic approach but incorporates traditional/ allopathic medication on as needed basis to provide the best care and life saving measures. Traditional medicine utilized drug protocols to suppress or palliate conditions , along with other life saving measures often needed for emergency situations.
The initial intake exam for the pet is the moste important and takes the most amount of time. It is best to set aside 1 hour for each pet that will be examined. Depending on what is going on it may be a little less.
The initial intake exam consists of a very detailed history, a complete physical exam along with an applied kinesiology exam/muscle testing . Each initial exam also includes a chiropractic adjustment if indicated. A superficial Iridology exam is offered along with testing of your pets water to check pH and Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) of the water your pet is ingesting.
MVM does not offer multiple pet discounts as each pet has to be given the proper time necessary for their initial exam. This detailed process cannot be rushed or cut short if you want the full services offered. Because there is more than one animal being seen doesn't mean we spend less time on their exam.
Some exceptions do exist when looking at very young animals with minimal history intakes.
Recheck exams are important, especially for chronic cases. Recheck fees consist of the house call and then a recheck exam fee. Chiropractic care is then done on an as needed basis.
No radiology services are available at this time. The only radiographs we perform are dental radiographs and these are done when the animal is under anesthesia.
If ONLY follow up chiropractic care is needed then this is done for the house call fee only. If any additional rechecks are requested then a recheck fee will apply.
Any follow up questions are addressed on an as needed basis depending on the depth of care being managed. Unfortunately we do not offter open ended appointment so there are times that phone consultations may be recommended.
Currently MVM offers only Telehealth consults. This means that our consults are for pets who have previously been diagnosed with a specific problem by another veterinarian who has physically seen the pet in person.
